Do I have to turn off the Electric Cigarette when not in use?
No, the Electric Cigarette has a microchip sensor that activates upon your first inhalation. The batteries will hibernate until your next inhalation for a longer lasting battery.

Can they really be used in non smoking areas?
Yes, they should be. There are several cities and places with cigarette bans against traditional tobacco but no bans against Electric cigarettes which are tobacco free against first and second hand smokers.
